Locals benefit through jobs (400 full-time staff & 75% were previously unemployed; Eden has reduced Cornwall’s unemployment overall by 6%), local food producers (all food and drink is locally-sourced), demand for local holiday accommodation (bookings have doubled for holiday cottages since 2001).

A multiplier effect has operated as Eden Project has helped attract more people to Cornwall. Other local attractions have been boosted (e.g. National Maritme Museum at Falmouth)
