Cornwall

  • Around 750,000 visitors per annum

  • One of the UK’s top tourist destinations

  • The eden project has brought in £600 million was spent by tourists in the first three years

  • Locals benefit through jobs (400 full-time staff & 75% were previously unemployed; Eden has reduced Cornwall’s unemployment overall by 6%), local food producers (all food and drink is locally-sourced), demand for local holiday accommodation (bookings have doubled for holiday cottages since 2001).
